# How to Update

Here's how to update the WhatsApp for WordPress plugin or upgrade to the Pro version.

1. First, you need to **deactivate** and **delete** the current WhatsApp plugin.
2. Then, **install** the updated version of the plugin and that’s it!

**Note:**

If you follow these steps to install new updates, then all your currently active settings from the previous version would be preserved and restored.
