This section allows you to manage how your website interacts with visitors from the European Union, ensuring compliance with the GDPR. These settings enable selective application of GDPR-related measures based on visitor geography.
Below is a detailed documentation of each setting available within this section:
EU Traffic Toggle:
On/Off Switch: You can activate or deactivate the special handling for EU traffic. When turned on, GDPR-related settings are enforced for users from selected EU countries.
Options:
Select countries to refuse: This option allows you to block traffic from selected countries within the EU.
Only apply GDPR for EU Countries: This option enables GDPR compliance features (like cookie popups) only for the visitors from the selected EU countries. This is useful if your site targets both EU and non-EU audiences and you prefer to apply different privacy standards based on user location.
Select Countries:
Multi-Select Dropdown: Here, you can select specific EU countries for which the GDPR settings should be applied. This setting is useful for tailoring the site’s privacy and cookie policies to comply with the regulations of particular EU countries.
Redirect those countries to this page (works with non-admin accounts):
Dropdown Menu: This option allows you to redirect visitors from the selected countries to a specific page. This could be used to show a customized message or policy specific to EU visitors or to redirect traffic to a region-specific version of your site.
