Custom YouTube Field in FileBird Document Library

The Custom YouTube Field feature in FileBird Document Library allows you to attach a YouTube video directly to a folder or individual file. This makes it easy to provide video tutorials, walkthroughs, or explanations alongside your PDF documents.

When visitors open a folder that contains PDFs, they will see a clickable YouTube link or button displayed in a dedicated column. With one click, the video opens on YouTube, giving customers instant access to your tutorial content.

This feature is ideal for creators who sell digital PDFs with accompanying video guidance. Let’s explore it!

Step 1: Install and Activate the YouTube Add-on

To enable this feature, we provide another add-on for YouTube of the FileBird Document Library. Install and activate it to see how it affects your library.

Once activated, new YouTube-related custom field options will become available.

Then, move to the Settings tab in FileBird Document Gallery > enable Custom Fields > we will see a list of fields to add values to for each attachment.

After enabling this option, you’ll see a list of available custom fields that can be added to media files. WordPress users can add unlimited custom fields for YouTube Link.

On your WordPress media, navigate to the folder containing your PDF, and find the Custom YouTube Field and paste your YouTube video URL.

Step 4: Choose Which Fields to Display in the Library

Head over to your Document Library to enable the fields you want to display. Save it and see how it works.

This ensures the YouTube link appears in a dedicated column within your document library.

Step 5: Preview the Result

Thus, in your library, the YouTube link opens in YouTube when clicked, and each file and folder can have its own unique video link.

The Custom YouTube Field in the FileBird Document Library bridges the gap between documents and video tutorials. By attaching a YouTube link directly to your folders or PDFs, you create a smoother learning experience and add more value to your digital products.

Your customers get the PDF and the video - right where they expect it.
